Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT)
BWRT is a relatively new therapy. It is Rapid, Effective, Lasting and Convenient. Many therapies, including Hypnotherapy, work with intangible elements of the Conscious, Subconscious and even the Unconscious mind. BWRT is different in that it actually uses the physical brain to make changes.
.
- Ever had the thought, “Why did I just do that”? or “I just couldn’t stop myself”.
- Ever been safely behind glass at an aquarium or zoo and still jump or react to the creature that makes a rapid move towards you?
- Ever covered the break when driving without realizing it?
Although we are born with the startle reflex, learned behaviours which become our template or programming if you will, develop into “reactions”. During the 1980’s, pioneering scientist in the field of human consciousness Benjamin Libet used
electroencephalography (EEG) to record the brain activity. Volunteers were been told to make a spontaneous movement whilst watching a dot move around a clock face. The famous experiments involved measuring electrical activity in the brain when volunteers were asked to move their wrist. Times were recorded to the millisecond and found that the brain activity which he called the “readiness potential” preceded the subject’s conscious awareness by some 330 milliseconds.
This “lag” in brain time is the time it takes for the input we receive to the brain to become our conscious awareness
With this information in Mind, BWRT was created by Terence Watts (Hypnotherapist, Author and Trainer) and very quickly accepted by The British Psychological Society. Having been trained by Terence in other forms of Psychotherapy, I was fortunate enough to involved in the very first BWRT school. I went on to undertaken advanced training in BWRT with Terence Watts personally being given the prestigious title of Mentor, assisting and advising the growing BWRT community internationally.Using scientific research on the brain’s natural activity, BWRT assists in changing the thought patterns at the instinctual level, when the changes are made at this level -The Reptilian complex and Paleomammalian complex, the instinctual behaviour changes.
For someone who jumps at the sight or even the thought of a spider being close, because the instinct has formed at the survival level, can, with BWRT, change the reaction.
Thank you I'll be in touch as soon as I can.

Easy….
and enjoyable, a simple process which often leaves people amazed at how uncomplicated the session is.
Long lasting….
The first client was Terence himself, while developing the therapy, the changes in the brain have remained some years later. Reports from here in Australia and around the world are confirming clients having made permanent changes to many issues.

In the Videos Terence explains how he created BWRT and trained us, the first group of therapists in October 2013, from that first class things changed in the way we looked at rapid therapy. It has been a wonderful journey as we’ve developed BWRT from an idea, which lead to therapy for less complicated issues and onto more advanced work with issues ranging from Alcoholism to OCD, We are currently researching while working with issues of a more psychical nature, Pain, Thyroid conditions, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome etc.
The following text will appear on the webpages of all BWRT® certified practitioners. ‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. It’s a totally confidential method that does not require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and it is carried out in a completely conscious state. It does not use hypnosis or any concepts that might be considered mystical or unscientific – it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and for it to succeed only needs you to know what you want to change in your life. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at http://www.bwrt.org
